Educator Excellence Award

The Black Educators Hall of Fame Educator Excellence Recognition Program

The Black Educators Hall of Fame is seeking to recognize educators who are dedicated and innovative individuals and whose contributions have enhanced the lives of students, educators and families. If selected, these individuals will receive a certificate of excellence and a gift card in recognition of their contributions to the field of education. In addition, the recipients of the “Educator Excellence Award” will be featured on our website highlighting how their contributions positively impact their communities. We encourage colleagues, students, and family members to submit a nomination form for an educator that has gone above and beyond to enhance the lives of those that they serve.

Considerations for Nomination:

• Nominees must have completed at least 3 years in their current position.
• Nominees must serve communities within the United States or its territories. 
• Nominators must share the reason why they are nominating their candidate (i.e. what was done to cultivate participation and/or enhance the lives of those engaged in the education community (students, parents, teachers, administrators and/or stakeholders) and how it was demonstrated.
• Nomination forms must be submitted online at the Black Educators Hall of Fame website bedhf.org.
• Nominations not selected during a specific cycle will be automatically carried forth to the next cycle for consideration.
